There was news that a pharmacy in Daejeon sold a bandage or mask for 50,000 won and did not accept a refund request.

Yesterday (21st), the Daejeon District Court held the first trial date for Mr. A in his 40s, who is suspected of fraud.

Mr. A is accused of stealing the difference worth 1.25 million won on 25 occasions by selling medicines at a higher price than the market price, such as selling masks and bandages for 50,000 won each last year.

He is also accused of committing dangerous acts such as assaulting consumers demanding refunds or stabbing paper boxes with a weapon.

Prosecutors said, "Mr. A knew that most of the drugstore customers paid without asking or checking the price, so he sold drugs at a higher price than the market price and continued to threaten and assault the victims who asked for a refund." .

At the trial, Mr. A said, "I admit all the charges and am sorry for my mistakes," but claimed to be in a weak state of mind and body. The next trial is scheduled to be held in January next year.
